Kyrgyzstan trekking: Lenin Peak Base Camp

Experience the Pamir from Lenin Peak Base Camp and Camp 1 on a 13-day high-altitude trekking trip. Mirando al Sur’s programme plans Panorama (4,010 m) and Yuhin (5,130 m), with recovery and adaptation days between activities.

The journey shares the atmosphere of expedition camps without attempting Lenin or Razdelnaya. Previous winter experience is not required, but fitness for walking and spending consecutive days at altitude is essential.

Your mountain trip with Mirando al Sur

Walks around Base Camp are followed by three nights at C1, the starting point for Yuhin. A glacier-familiarisation day and instruction from the Spanish mountain guide are part of the programme.

Mirando al Sur arranges transfers and camp logistics, with a choice between equipped tents and cabin/dome accommodation. You can select the experience by both its mountain objectives and the overnight comfort you prefer.

Frequently asked questions

Does this trek attempt Lenin Peak?

No. It visits the lower camps and plans Panorama and Yuhin. Lenin’s summit expedition and the Razdelnaya programme are separate trips.

Which peaks are in the current programme?

Panorama at 4,010 m and Yuhin at 5,130 m. They are attempted when conditions and the group’s progress allow.

Do I need winter mountaineering experience?

It is not required, but fitness for high-altitude trekking is needed. Share your walking, backpacking and altitude experience so preparation and equipment can be reviewed.

Are all thirteen days spent walking?

No. The total includes flights, transfers, rest and reserve days as well as walks and planned ascents.

How many nights are spent at each camp?

The programme plans seven nights at Base Camp, three at C1 and one hotel night in Osh on the return. Reserve time helps adapt activity but does not guarantee a summit.

What changes with premium accommodation?

Base Camp tents are replaced by cabins with private bathrooms, and C1 tents by domes with beds. Confirm the remaining arrangements with your chosen booking category.

Which costs are separate?

International flights, travel medical and cancellation insurance, and exceptional or programme-change costs. Rescue registration and camp medical assistance are not unlimited personal insurance.
