Morocco 4,000-metre peaks: Toubkal and the High Atlas

Explore Morocco’s High Atlas on a hut-based programme including Toubkal (4,167 m) and other 4,000-metre peaks. Mirando al Sur plans up to ten summit objectives, adapting them to mountain conditions and participants’ fitness.

Spanish and Moroccan mountain guides, mules and porters support a journey combining climbing days with local culture. The relative technical simplicity of some routes provides a way into altitude, but accumulated effort and preparation still matter.

Your mountain trip with Mirando al Sur

Several days in the same mountain sector let you build a sequence of climbs without returning to Marrakech after every outing. The itinerary includes a rest or reserve day between the objectives.

Imlil and the final stay in Marrakech add a cultural element. The published day-by-day itinerary has nine days; the product allows nine to ten days depending on the confirmed departure and flights.

Is Aiguille d’Ifni planned for everyone?

The programme reserves it for climbers. Its inclusion requires a specific assessment of experience and conditions.

What luggage support is available?

Mules and porters are included. The team will confirm load arrangements and what you carry on each climbing day before departure.

Where do we sleep?

The itinerary combines a riad in Imlil, a mountain hut and a hotel in Marrakech. Most activity days include half board and packed lunch; the reserve day has full board.

Do I need previous experience above 4,000 m?

The trip is designed as a progressive introduction to these heights and asks for experience of straightforward mountain activities. Share your preparation so we can assess the days and objectives with you.

Are flights included?

No. Mirando al Sur can help arrange them, but the flight to Marrakech and travel to the departure airport are separate costs.
