Summer ascent of Mulhacén with a guide: one or two days
Explore the highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula on a guided Mulhacén ascent in conditions suitable for walking without crampons. Choose a single day or split the outing over two days according to your fitness and the accommodation option agreed.
Walking through Sierra Nevada National Park adds more to the outing than the summit alone: old paths, mountain scenery and the landscape of the Alpujarras form part of the experience. The published group is from two to ten participants per guide.
For two days, the outing can use the unstaffed Caldera shelter or staffed Poqueira refuge. Confirm the accommodation option and its services in advance. At Poqueira, half board is excluded for both clients and the guide.
For a one-day ascent, discuss access and the Capileira–Alto del Chorrillo shuttle when preparing your booking. Transfers and their conditions must be confirmed for the option you choose.
Experience and preparation
Fitness appropriate to the chosen route and one-day or two-day option. For winter snow requiring crampons, enquire about the winter ascent instead.
